Health and Safety Awareness
What is the Health and Safety Awareness course?
This one day course can be for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry. The course gives delegates an awareness of health and safety and how it affects their daily role. It can be used as preparation training for the CITB Health, safety and environment test or as refresher training.
This course is the first step towards a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card) and to the progressive CITB Site Safety Plus suite of courses that range from training for operatives into the industry up to senior manager / director.
Changes to the CSCS Green Card from 1st July.
If you work in a labouring occupation you can take the Site Safety Plus route when applying for the new Green Labourer Card. You will need to provide evidence that you have achived Level 1 Award Site Safety Plus Heath and Safety Awareness Course.

This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. Candidates will be continuously assessed and will have to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.
